Ken Burford has more than 20 years experience representing hospitals, non-profit organizations, physicians, dentists and oral surgeons in New York state and federal courts.  His practice includes general medical and dental malpractice defense, JCAHO consultation, State Hospital investigations and physician discipline, risk management, civil rights actions against physicians and hospitals, non-profit reorganizations, guardianship and mental hygiene proceedings, as well as toxic tort litigation.  He has defended these matters at all levels including administrative, criminal investigation, state disciplinary proceedings, ADR, civil trial and appeal.  Mr. Burford frequently lectures on hospital risk management, as well as malpractice prevention and defense in Grand Rounds and other forums, non-profit reorganization and HIPAA.  Mr. Burford is an arbitrator for the New York City Civil Court.
